PocketMine MP

The instructions that used to be here were from a time when PocketMine was not well-documented or simple to install for Macs. However, that has changed. The instructions here now are accurate. If you’d like to view the older version of this page, click here.

These instructions apply only to Macs.

To start a server after it has been compiled, run the start.sh file.

To install the latest stable version of PocketMine:

  • open Terminal
  • navigate to the folder you want to install or upate PocketMine into (check which directory you’re in by typing ls, go into a directory by typing cd [directoryname], and make a directory with mkdir [directoryname]
  • paste curl -sL http://get.pocketmine.net/ | bash

To install the latest beta build:

  • open Terminal
  • navigate to the folder you want to install or upate PocketMine into (check which directory you’re in by typing ls, go into a directory by typing cd [directoryname], and make a directory with mkdir [directoryname]
  • paste curl -sL http://get.pocketmine.net/ | bash -s – -v beta

To install the latest development build (not recommended):

  • open Terminal
  • navigate to the folder you want to install or upate PocketMine into (check which directory you’re in by typing ls, go into a directory by typing cd [directoryname], and make a directory with mkdir [directoryname]
  • paste curl -sL http://get.pocketmine.net/ | bash -s – -v development

To install a plugin:

  • find something you like here (if you want it to work with the latest release, choose one that is marked “New API”)
  • download the .phar file
  • move the .phar file to the plugins folder in the directory you put PocketMine in
  • if your server is running, use the command /reload to reboot the server
